Flytrex has announced a partnership with Little Caesars to offer drone delivery of full family meal orders, made possible by the former’s Sky2 drone. The Sky2 carries up to 8.8 pounds — the largest payload capacity of any food delivery drone currently on the market, according to Flytrex — enabling customers to receive two large pizzas along with sides and drinks with a single flight. The companies say this marks a first for on-demand aerial food delivery.

The service launched at a Little Caesars location in Wylie, Texas, and introduces a direct integration with Little Caesars' ordering systems, allowing orders placed through the Flytrex app to flow automatically into the restaurant's existing ordering infrastructure. The companies say orders arrive in an average of 4.5 minutes from takeoff, with the Sky2 supporting remote pickup directly from restaurant locations and covering a delivery radius of up to four miles.

The Sky2 is built on an octocopter configuration with eight motors, a dual-battery architecture, and GNSS with RTK for centimeter-level navigation accuracy. An AI-enabled flight management system continuously monitors operations during each delivery. Flytrex says the design prioritizes both safety redundancy and the unit economics required to operate profitably in the food delivery market.

"A big part of advancing this market is making sure people can get the food they actually want, when they want it," said Amit Regev, CEO and co-founder of Flytrex, in a statement. "Until now, drones simply weren't capable of delivering a full family meal. The Sky2 changes that."

The Little Caesars partnership is the latest in a series of milestones for Flytrex over the past year. The company also secured strategic investment from Uber to fulfill Uber Eats orders by drone, launched a drone delivery service in Dallas-Fort Worth with DoorDash, received FAA approval for BVLOS operations, and partnered with Wing to implement automated flight coordination in shared airspace, the first such commercial arrangement in the U.S.

Flytrex reports it has completed more than 200,000 deliveries across the United States to date.
