This week, Airwise Solutions and UAS Sentry announced a new strategic partnership to integrate UAS Sentry Nexus Remote ID drone-detection capabilities into the Airwise platform, which includes drone operations, airspace management, and UAS Traffic Management (UTM) capabilities. This combination, the companies say, will bring real-time drone detection and identification into a broader operational airspace picture. In other words, Airwise’s platform that monitors the operators’ drones is being combined with a solution that provides visibility into other aircraft in or around that airspace.

That solution, UAS Sentry Nexus, was one of two products UAS Sentry announced at Commercial UAV Expo, held earlier this month in Las Vegas, Nevada. Nexus is a modular Remote ID detection platform that can scale anywhere from three to 18 independently processed antennas through a single LAN or LTE connection. The system provides drone detection, geofencing, alerting, classification, historical identification, and analytics, while maintaining compatibility with the UAS Sentry API for integration with third-party command, control, situational awareness, and mapping platforms.

Now, the detection data Nexus collects, when integrated with Airwise’s platform, can be part of a larger operational picture that includes enterprise drone fleets, airspace information, mission activity, telemetry, FAA services, weather, and other connected data sources.

“Organizations need visibility into the entire low-altitude operating environment, not just the aircraft they are managing,” said John Powers, chief revenue officer at Airwise Solutions, in a statement. “By combining detection with airspace management, UTM and enterprise drone operations, we can help organizations move from simply knowing a drone is present to understanding what is happening in their airspace and how it relates to their operations.”

In their release, the companies note that this can support any organization that needs greater awareness and control of low-altitude airspace, specifically calling out critical infrastructure, utilities, energy, public safety, airports, industrial facilities, and other enterprise environments. Among the biggest benefits they point to are real-time drone awareness, enhanced airspace security, unified operational intelligence, scalable deployment, and open, future-ready integration.

“UAS Sentry was designed to make sophisticated Remote ID detection scalable and accessible,” said David Burritt of UAS Sentry in a statement. “Integrating our detection data with Airwise puts that information into a broader operational environment. Customers can deploy UAS Sentry where detection is needed today and use Airwise to connect that capability to larger drone and airspace operations.”
