Percepto has announced the launch of its new AI-powered emission detector. In a statement, Percepto said that its new systems can flag emissions “in real time, allowing operators to sidestep big data challenges when conducting high-frequency OGI inspections with Percepto drones.”

Designed for “remote methane detection and compliance reporting at scale,” the AI Emission Detector “automates OGI surveying with autonomous drones, leveraging remote operations and now AI-built for upstream oil & gas operators.”

Percepto CEO Dor Abuhasira said, "The industry has been asking how to scale OGI without scaling field operations. This is the answer.” Abuhasira also stated that leading operators are already using Percepto’s system "to reduce emissions, optimize spending, and take control of their compliance programs—all without adding operational strain."

According to Perception, the AI Emission Detector gives operators “the flexibility to investigate potential issues without dispatching field teams, unlocking both safety and OpEx advantages.” Moreover, the company asserted, the system offers “higher inspection frequency and trusted data,” enabling teams to “make smarter, data-driven decisions—whether addressing urgent anomalies or rethinking capital plans.”

Percepto also touted the system’s ability to strengthen “compliance readiness.” “By generating validated reports aligned with evolving EPA requirements, Percepto helps operators meet regulatory expectations and build stakeholder trust—without adding administrative burden,” the company said.
