DroneShield, an Australian company in the counter-uncrewed systems (CUxS) sector, this week announced the release of SentryCiv, designed for critical infrastructure protection. The solution is advertised as “advanced, yet cost-effective,” and is marketed for non-military sectors such as infrastructure managers, airports, stadiums, and more. The company released an introductory video with the announcement, which can be viewed below.
SentryCiv’s release comes as a response to trends around drone threats in non-military settings, with DroneShield noting that critical infrastructure has been “increasingly vulnerable” to malicious drone activity. With this new release, asset owners and security managers have access to real-time detection and situational awareness from a tool that is designed for integration into existing security frameworks.
Among the key features of SentryCiv called out by the company are integration to Sentry-C2 Civ platform, which provides real-time alerts, threat prioritization, customizable zones, data logging, and integration with third-party systems. They also call out their proprietary DroneLocator technology for tracking threats and operators beyond RemoteID, their engine’s ability to identify “over 150 common drone models” while maintaining performance with existing communication systems, and regular software updates to stay ahead of evolving threats and trends.
“Airspace security for critical infrastructure and public safety has never been more urgent,” said Tom Adams, director of public safety at DroneShield, in a press statement. “SentryCiv represents our commitment to making advanced counter-drone solutions accessible and affordable for non-military sectors. This solution is a game-changer for industries like law enforcement, corrections, aviation, and utilities, providing cost-effective, reliable means of protecting critical assets from evolving drone threats.”
