It was big news when Intel announced the Intel Falcon 8+ System, partly because it signified that the company was making a real commitment to the commercial drone market, but even moreso because of the opportunities the product would create. The V-form octocopter is designed to enable reproducible flights for valuable structural analysis which will allow users to detect and prevent damage of assets and infrastructure. That’s just one example of the ways in which the product can be utilized in a commercial setting.

At the Commercial UAV Expo, we were able to chat with Natalie Cheung, Drone Marketing Director at Intel, about the many other ways in which commercial drone operators will be able to use the UAV. We also talked about what specific markets it has been used in, what makes this UAV different from other products, how easy it is to operate and plenty more.
