At the 2016 Commercial UAV Expo, RIEGL hosted a press conference to showcase the North American rollout of the miniVUX-1UAV. Presented by My-Linh Truong and Andres Vargas, the press conference was focused on this new, entry-level, miniaturized addition to the RIEGL line which weighs less than half as much as the VUX-1UAV and can be mounted on different types of UAVs. The sensor is designed to be utilized on RIEGL’s RiCOPTER UAV, but the versatility of the product is one of the major selling points. The stable aluminum housing is ready to be mounted to fixed-wing, rotary-wing, and multi-rotor UAVs.
