A recent press release announced that Red Cat Holding’s FANG FPV drone has officially been added to the Blue UAS cleared list.

The drone’s addition to the Blue UAS list signifies that this drone meets the Pentagon’s highest level of cybersecurity, supply chain integrity, and operational trustworthiness. Now that the FANG is on the list, any federal agency can purchase the drone without additional approval or waivers, and it is ready for immediate use. This certification means that the drone is within full compliance of NDAA Section 848.

In a statement, Jeff Thompson, CEO of Red Cat remarks on why this certification is a valuable tool for the FANG drone.

“Blue UAS certification of our full system marks the next phase for FANG. This not only validates our hardware and engineering, but it also makes it easier for defense and security customers to move fast and confidently with a fully approved, low-cost, American-made FPV drone. We’re proud to deliver a platform that meets the highest standards and is ready to scale where and when it’s needed.”

The current model available for purchase is the FANG F7, with additional models currently in development.
