Houston, Texas-based Envirotech Vehicles (EVTV) has announced the introduction of a new heavy-lift drone. The American-made drone can be equipped with “dual-use agricultural spray and wildfire protection technology” and can carry a payload of up to 1,500 pounds.

Features of the vehicle include liquid delivery of 100 gallons per deployment, flight time of up to 45 minutes under full load, and precision control autonomous & semi-autonomous flight systems.

Commenting on the announcement, Elgin Tracy, Chief Operating Officer of EVTV, said, "This is more than just a drone - this is the future of American resilience. From supporting our farmers to protecting our forests and defending our skies, EVTV has built a platform that can change industries. Today, we're proving that American innovation leads the world."

EVTV said it will begin accepting pre-orders from “U.S. farmers, cooperatives, and government agencies” in the coming week, and that “initial production is expected to ramp through 2026, with deliveries commencing shortly thereafter.”
