Poland-based DefendEye announced that its tube‑launched, fully autonomous AI‑powered search drone is now available with built‑in Starlink Mini satellite connectivity. In a statement, DefendEye said that the integration enables “seamless operation in cities, deserts, mountains or offshore,” which improves “search & rescue, public safety and defense” operations.
DefendEye explained that the Starlink Mini integration allows the DefendEye drone and its command‑center cloud to “be deployed in any environment—no cellular coverage required—while still streaming live, high‑definition video to operations centers and mobile subscribers around the globe.”
Commenting on the announcement, DefendeEye CEO James Buchheim said, “Embedding Starlink Mini inside our launch‑tube removes the last barrier to true go‑anywhere aerial awareness. First responders, search‑and‑rescue teams and military units can now deploy our drones in the most remote locations, push live video to any control room, and even trigger launches from the other side of the planet.”
At present, DefendEye is conducting live demonstrations of the system with select customers and is accepting orders. The company reported that fully integrated systems and demo kits will begin shipping in September 2025.
