Rather than a single pool of competing products, voters will choose one standout from each category, meaning more winners, more recognition, and ultimately a clearer picture of where innovation is happening across the entire landscape.

The six categories for this year’s Spotlight are:

Each category reflects where the commercial drone industry is putting its energy right now, from next-generation airframes and battery systems to the software and services that turn raw flight data into actionable intelligence. Whether you work in infrastructure inspection, precision agriculture, public safety, or enterprise operations, there's a category that maps directly to the tools you rely on.

We put this Spotlight together every year to highlight the offerings that are driving this industry forward at a rapid pace. The products in this gallery were submitted by the companies building them, reviewed for inclusion, and are now being evaluated by the professionals who actually deploy these technologies. The product earning the most votes in each category will be recognized as a Must-Watch Product of 2026, and later this year you will see features for each here on Commercial UAV News.
