San Diego State University
The Center for Earth Systems Analysis Research is a shared educational and research center located in the Department of Geography at San Diego State University. The center encompasses five separate laboratory facilities in support of geographic information science and technology, qualitative methods and research, and physical modeling and processes. Four of these facilities are computer labs equipped with high-end workstations and the latest versions of GIS, remote sensing/image processing, and spatial statistics software. These facilities are used to support the department teaching mission, faculty and graduate student research, as well as over one million dollars in annual extramural funded research. CESAR houses three full-time staff members each with specific geo-spatial expertise as well as advanced information technology and computing knowledge. CESAR personnel provide enterprise UAV services for the department, generating LiDAR, multispectral, and photogrammetry products.
