Nippon Kayaku Company was founded in 1916 and was Japan's first private-sector industrial explosives manufacturer. Our Safety Systems Group was founded in 1992 and has operated in the Global Automotive Industry for over 30-years. Through our expertise in energetics, we developed high reliability automotive safety products like airbag inflators, initiators, and micro gas generators. This technology is the basis for our safety innovations in UAS. Nippon Kayaku utilizes sophisticated mass production capability which is also applied to the drone safety systems. Our mission in UAS is “Enabling Safety”. Our corporate mission has not changed, we believe in protecting people, property, and payload. In July of 2021, Nippon Kayaku Company made the decision and commitment to further advance UAS safety through the acquisition of Aero Systems West, Inc. (ASW), a successful drone manufacturer located in California. We are excited to enter UAS industry and contribute to the safety of UAS, Nippon Kayaku Company is here to stay and we are committed to further advancing the industry.
